OK...would you rather have the state ignore the public health risk and not do anything about it? I'm sure the lawyers would be lining up to sue the state for every person that came down with any disease who went fishing there if reasonable steps were not taken until the water clears up.

Because there are people out there who will eat the fish - it's a potential public health issue.

Are there any official updates on water quality and fishing restrictions in the area? I've looked but couldn't find anything since before the weekend.

Too bad that its not just BPT... Scum everywhere makes life difficult for all the civil folk, not to mention the law men. They are constantly shoveling ship against the tide, much of which is politician flushes, and the guys who actually follow the rules get short end of the (d)stick up the dirt rd.

KT is spot on... Don't take the fish, Dont eat the fish, or Dont Fish... None of which will be adhered to by fockers who ruin it for everyone.

I say LET THEM EAT FISH (cake).

But shellfish closure remains . . . . right ?

""Happy Talk" . . . . . Because it has worked so well thus far"

"It is not necessary to change; survival is not mandatory" - Edward Deming

"Unless we start to focus everything on this, our targets will soon be out of reach" - Greta Thunberg January 2020

"I spent most of my dough on booze, broads and boats and the rest I wasted" - Elmore Leonard.

Team Man Made Climate Change is Real.

"Such change demands on our part a serious and responsible recognition not only of the kind of world we may be leaving to our children, but also to the millions of people living under a system which has overlooked them" - Pope Francis September 2015
