if they fall off, the boat is moving forward, why would it be more dangerous than tubing, water skiing or wake boarding? The wake is no different than any boat, as long as they obey the speed limits and no wake zones, whats the issue?

Im guessing you have never seen them. The wakes the throw are like tug boat wakes! Ever heard of carbon monoxide poisoning? They are close enough to the exhaust. They are a major cause of the shoreline erosion.

I have, they typically use ski/natique(sp) style boats which don't throw any more wake than other boats of similar size. It's where you are in the wake that is important, you need the propulsion from the motor so they do typically ride closer than a skiier or a wake boarder. It's nothing new and as far as I know, no one has died of carbon monoxide poisioning. As long as they are obey the no wake zones/laws I don't have any issues with them, looks like fun, they are no different than someone towing a tube or a skier.

Im too lazy, do i need to eat crow or put my foot in my mouth? I do apologize the op, I couldn't find any info in the boaters guide on the subject, I guess I should put my foot in my mouth regardless.
