but old flares can still be used, you just have to have legal flares on board.

Can you light them off in the yard and then trash them?

Physically = Yes

Legally = No (IMO.....haven't looked at the regs, but no surface to air in CT, and you can't do it near water where you would be basically prank calling 911)

People can make their own decisions, but I wouldn't give people potentially illegal advice online with them thinking its totally legal....but that's just me....anti or pro whatever pill.
