From the looks of that picture it appears that the vessel is towing inner tubes. By regulation any tube needs to have handles on them which those don't. I have forwarded the issues to the NW officers. It has been a very hectic summer season in the NW corner parks and forests where we have spent the majority of our time. Hopefully now after the summer season we can get back to what we enjoy doing.

I used to really like going to West Hill for trout and kokes, but haven't been there in some time for reasons just like this. Think I enjoy ice fishing there more and more. Don't have to contend with all that drama up there.

so a month goes by with this thread being updated, but now that the summer has ended, has anything changed? we finally got a DEEP response, but it sure seems like something should have been done prior to the end of the summer season. is the launch still like this? very nice weekend, be nice to have an enforcement presence around.

Was there on Saturday 9/17 and recreational traffic is WAY down. Could have been due to the wind which was stiff out of the south. Big surprise though was the few paddleboards I saw out had PFD's with them.

The following quote is from the 2016 Boaters Guide, page 27

"Waterskiing includes the towing of any person behind a vessel under
power, such as waterskiing, tubing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, etc."

Doesn't that mean if waterskiing is not allowed, no tubing, regardless of the presence or absence of tube handles should be allowed?

see boaters guide

Thanks
