I showed up at indian wells to a surprise this morning. I was told i couldnt launch and fish there today when i pulled up to the gate so i had to change my plans. My plan was to stay close to home because the day might turn nasty.

The guy said they had a special permit and i cant find anything about it online. They took over the whole park!!!!!!!!????????

Thats total crap!!!!! Its not listed anywhere that ive found

LAKE HOUSATONIC (rowing regatta). The “Head of the Housatonic” Regatta is scheduled for Saturday,
October 8th from 8 am to 6 pm, with course setup occurring on Friday, October 7th. Although this event
will be using the boat launch in Indian Well State Park, room will be available to the general public to
launch. Boaters should however use additional caution on the lake.

Too bad you hadn't seen that prior!! Reminds me of the time someone told me that I couldn't hunt on my own land as they knew the owner and he didn't want anyone hunting there and he had been authorized to patrol it. I told him I had met the owner and described him as myself right down to the clothing I was wearing- watching his face as the wheels between his ears turned faster and faster till he had an epiphany was priceless!!
