I just wish i had took pics of buck with the natives,they had a beautiful yellow patch on each side of the lower jaw.there is zero stocking there....the bass,i just flat out sucked,3 monsters hit so quick didnt even have the bail snapped...thats "my excuse(story) and im stickin to it.yea,see..dirty cop rats youll never catch me... see." George,i sent mike humphreys at inland all photos,gps and info on all samples i collected.like to get them out before they degrade. And dont forget to try my micro barrel swivel rig,less breakoffs and minimal line twist.

Take a picture, and post it, of the micro barrel swivel rig, that is an excellent way to limit losing an entire rig in snag filled streams. Very efficient way to fish big streams and rivers like the Housatonic and the Farmington.

Great post and outing, thanks for sharing it with us.

I've been very surprised at the number of small streams I found that hold healthy, yet vulnerable populations of natives. Here is a picture of a small, high gradient stream with some small pools. Each pool holds 1-2 trout this size (~6 inches), everytime we go. We never keep any from here but like to see if they're still around when we are out that way.
