I took advantage of the insanely nice weather and put on the waders for one last walk about in the CT river for smallmouth.
I stuck to a Keitech swimbait, a 3.3 in black and a 3.8 in two tone flash.
The black only produced a crawfish (lol) and he was gripping the bait like it owed him money!
Switched to the bait fish imitation and managed to land 2 smallies, lost a 3rd, and snagged 2 clams.
A cornucopia of river dwellers.

I didn’t expect much, so any fish was a bonus from just being there in a T shirt in November!
Until next year, God willing, I will return to to this slice of peace and excitement and chase these beautiful bass that call the river home.

Cue the Fat Lady, it’s time to chase deer.

Ridiculous weather for river wade fishing in November!

You’ve had a lot of fun in those stretches this season. Great fish, pics and adventures. Nice job.

Nice report and pics, you catch everything.
Maybe you should have stuck a hook in that craw. LOL.

You had some really nice outings this year and hopefully you get your Deer.

Jon,

Great trip. Great variety. I never thought of shell fishing in the river.
