Tall 1 Member Registered: 05/02/03 Posts: 18126	I took a ride to check out one of my wading spots on the Connecticut river today. As soon as I got there, I knew it was going to be a struggle. I stayed on shore to be safe, and threw a Topwater for the first 10 minutes and did catch one 12 inch spunky smallmouth that jumped a few times and fought well in the heavy current. Unfortunately, the water is flowing at a springtime level and is extremely off colored, so I knew that it was going to be futile. I did throw a 3.8 keitech on a 3/8 oz jig head, but never had a touch the rest of the trip. Only stayed for an hour knowing it would be an exercise in casting practice.
