Something I don't get about Beardsley Park in Bridgeport is you have to either have a park sticker or pay to get in even if you're gonna fish. At Great Hollow Pond in Monroe all you have to do is show them your fishing license and they let you in without having to pay. So why pay to get in when Bunnell's Pond and the Pequonnock River is stocked and is in the Angler's Guide?
If bluefish were to grow as big as giant bluefins, then there would be nothing left out there except for blues!
Good question Micheal. If we are paying for these fish to be stocked there when we buy a fishing lic. We should have every right to fish for them without being charged for it. IMHO
If you voted for Malloy your an idoit if you voted for Obama you just an ass hole and should be striped of your citizenship!

I have a similar issuse out on my end of the state. Pendleton Hill Brook, in North Stonington is stocked by the state (800 in 2009). Just down stream from where they stock is posted private property. Pendleton Hill flows into Spaulding Pond, 100% private with no public access.

Good question Mike. This and similar issues have been bothering me for years. Twin Brooks Park in Trumbull is also closed to out of town residents althogh I think that it too benefits from stocking. And at Twin Brooks I don't think out of towners can even purchase a sticker. Talk about exclusionary !!!!!

I agree Micheal they stock the Deep River down here in Deep River but I can't find any public access it is all PRIVATE!!! The best thing that I have found out is that not a ounce of it is fished the landowners don't fish it from what I have been told.
