Recently caught large 18" rainbow in a TMA.
Unfornutley i dont have pictures forgot my camera that day.
but the fish had what looked like large blisters all over its tail and a few on its stomach. the fish was very pale and had VERY few faint black spots on it.
to be honest i didnt' really even wanna touch it to release it!
was there some bacterial virus in some of the Hatchery tanks this year?? or is it possible that this fish is a holdover that BECAME sick in the river.?? looked like broodstock type rainbow to me.. But with warts/blisteres on its tail?
any of the DEP Hatchery/Biologists know of such a problem?
