What happens if you are one bird under your limit and while taking a single shot you accidentally drop two birds? If you only shot once and did not intend to make a "double" are you still in violation of game laws?

Technically yes, you are only allowed to take your limit per day. If it was me, I would make sure the last bird I was trying to shoot was by itself.

Thanks for the response. My luck (and lack of shooting skill) are such that the only time I'm likely to get a double is when it would put me in violation of game laws. Your suggestion is a good one.
