couple questions:
are there any reports of them in ct yet? i know they hunt them in PA and i am sure they must be in some parts of NY?
if or when they spread this way, there will be a season?
for some reason if someone would happen upon one in the woods, could they take it? say if bow hunting deer, or shot gun turkey, could you shoot and kill one if your obviously legaly hunting?

No reports yet.
Your guess is as good as mine regarding a hunting season. That's a decision for the Wildlife Division to make.
Right now if you came across one in the woods and shot it you would have an issue. They are not known to be in CT, there is no open season on them and they are not listed as vermin so the argument can be made that you shot someone's pet pig. There are a lot of pigs in the state and they do escape on occasion. I realize that a pink pig looks a lot different than a wild boar, but I think you can see where this could lead at this point in time.
I know they are a big problem down south where they've been running rampant in the woods and growing extremely large. I think if any came into CT, our resident Mountain Lion population could keep them in check.
