I've had this conversation with a few people and there seems to be some confusion since no one seems to think the same thing.
Now that we can use a bow on private property during gun season to hunt deer, do you tag your deer with an archery tag or do you use a gun tag for whatever season you are hunting? Same thing for bow-only areas.
If you take it with a bow you need to use your bow tag no matter what the season.
I agree with you and I thought this same question had been asked before but I couldn't find it on here. I've had this conversation with some guys I hunt with and with people at work and some of them insist that you can't hunt with your bow during gun season if you don't have a gun tag.

Dave is right. It is not a lesser arms law like some states have. They actually changed the season dates of bow season to overlap with gun season. See the DEP website:

What tags???
You mean the paper ones people print out a home and can make as many copies of as they like? Then if they manage to get home without actually being checked...they can just throw them away and don't really have to call it in?
