The town of Barkhamsted is holding a meeting tonight to discuss a new regulation regarding making it illegal to feed bears. Isn't there already a state statuate covering the feeding of wild animals?

I couldn't find one looking quickly - but I seem to remember it being in the state parks regulations not an actual statewide statute.

You would put Tommy's out of business if you ever passed this in Middletown....

Saw that on the news tonight. Someone off of Slade Rd was feeding bags of grain.
They need to be careful of the feeding/baiting law because we will have a bear season soon and baiting will be used.
This could prohibit baiting for hunting in town if they open a season.

There is no state regulation. We discourage people from feeding all wildlife other than songbirds.
