According to several maps of Robbins Swamp WMA in Cannan CT the western property line runs along the railroad tracks on the northern parcel of land. Is it legal to walk along the railroad tracks to access this portion of this WMA? If not how would one access this section?

Technically you are not supposed to be on a railroad property without permission. However, we have never arrested anyone for accessing the swamp by way of the railroad bed. It is an active railway, so if you do access the northern portion by way of the railroad right of way pay attention as you might have a freight train sneak up on you.
