I am hoping this is an easy question, but I apologize in advance if this sounds silly as I am not a registered gun owner.

A friend of mine has a license to carry a handgun in the state of CT. He also does a lot of fishing and boating in LI Sound (CT waters). The question is, can he legally have the gun in his possession while on his personal boat navigating CT waters?

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Yes, he has a CT Pistol Permit so it's not an issue.

Loc: CT. Got a problem with that?
Just be careful if you drift into RI or NY.

If you chase two rabbits, you will not catch either one.
