What is the name of the lake it varies but most of the restrictions are on accessing the lake if you got that covered once on the lake MOST not all then your good
Next time Politely inform the gentlemen that it is indeed public access lake (which would not matter since you entered it thru a lake front property with permission) and that CT has a Sportsmen Harassment Law and should he like to further pursue the issue he is more than welcome.

alexander also has a public launch and lots of small bass...tell the guy to drop dead and better yet call a DEP officer with him there then have a nice little conversation about it and harrassment

The launch I always used, and thought was public, was closed last year when I drove by there. Not sure how long ago it was blocked but everyone used to launch there then parked in the field a short walk away.
It's my understanding that if you have legal access you can fish there. Tell the guy to go get a hobby and leave you alone.

Better off just calling DEP while out there as it sounds like this guy only wants to hear one answer which is not the one he will get. I hate narrow minded people who want to enforce their own regulations based on complete BS

As stated in the 2014 fishing guide, sorry, 2015 is not out yet and I don't think it will change, there is no public access to Alexander Lake. However, if you have permission from a landowner on the lake to access the lake you would be legal to fish it.
