Wednesday, March 9, A DEEP Conservation officer was stationed at the Highland Lake boat launch. With the very warm weather, and word being out that the lake is fishing well, people were visiting the lake in droves. It was nice to see people being turned away from the ramp for multiple issues, lifejackets, boating license, etc. 2016 Fishing license checks were also being done to the many shore anglers. Just wanted to give a thanks for performing some proactive duties.

Understaffed for sure but they do a damn good job with who they have. Hats off to them

You can say anything foolish to a dog, and that dog will still give you a look that says, "WOW!! What a great idea!! I never would have thought of that!!"

Some people are born on third base, then spend the rest of their lives thinking they hit a triple.

Seen the officer at Highland a couple of time. Maybe he'll make the rounds to West Hill and straighten out the parking situation.

That is a great project!!!Nearly every morning there is rampant misuse of parking, Once summer starts it gets worse. Weekends can find you parking at the end of the lot due to all the illegal parking.

You got that right Jon. The people from the lake think it's their parking lot. Well theirs is across the dam but they can't walk that far. There is a launch monitor there all summer but he won't say anything to anyone as he likes to sit in the store most of the time.
