DEEP Makes Burglary Arrests at Chatfield Hollow State Park

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Environmental Conservation (EnCon) Police yesterday arrested two individuals and charged them with breaking into several automobiles at Chatfield Hollow State Park in Killingworth. The individuals, Anthony Nastri, age 25 of Wallingford and Adria Dacunto, age 27 also of Wallingford were charged with burglary in the third degree (a felony) along with several other charges after EnCon police observed them allegedly breaking into several cars in the parking lot at Chatfield Hollow State Park.

On October 10, 2011 DEEP EnCon Police established surveillance at Chatfield Hollow State Park following a series of automobile burglaries at the park and at other state parks in the area. At approximately 1:30 PM two individuals were observed allegedly breaking into cars in the parking lot and were subsequently arrested by DEEP EnCon officers. The two were charged with:

Burglary, third degree - two counts each
Larceny, sixth degree, two counts each
Criminal mischief, second degree, two counts each
Possession of burglary tools - one count each

In addition, Ms. Dacunto was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit the above offenses. Ms. Dacunto was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Middletown Superior Court on October 25, 2011. Mr. Nastri was remanded into custody and will be arraigned today, October 11 in Middletown Superior Court.
