I have a general question..If I want to fish on or after Jan 1 of each year (which I do), I go to Town Hall and get a License as there are no B&Ts convenient to area.

Why is the book for the current year never available, one would think if I need the license I should have a book, no?

Maybe it's time to change the license from say April to April,that way the books will be ready. I have been approached on the Thames on New Years day in the past and asked to produce a license and I am glad they are enforcing this.
