Oh wow ! I was way wrong. Thanks for the clarification EnCon. I guess I was under the assumption that if a river was tidal below a dam and not stocked in that area, then it would be open year round.

Come to think of it, based on reading the regs above, this opens a can of worms on two other striper spots that I and many people fish, that technically are not open until opening day.

These two spots I mention and Indian Leap are not stocked directly, the only way these places would hold trout is if they come from WAY upstream and over a dam. In the case of Indian Leap that would be three dams, thus I wondor why they would be affected by regs that pertain to trout stocking.
