I was sent the following information. I hope you can point me in the right direction for clarification.

"The following public notice has been posted on the CT DEEP website:

(Naugatuck) Tentative determination to approve an application by Haynes Materials Company in Naugatuck for withdrawal of a maximum of 1 million gallons per day from an unnamed water supply basin to supply water to wash excavated rock.

How can the public comment on this if they don't name the water supply? I can only surmise that it is the Naugy, but no way can that sustain a million gal per day. Especially in the summer. Aside from the drawdown,I wonder where the dirty water would go after washing the stone. IMO Haynes does not have a particularly good reputation, so I am more than a little worried about this.
