I have two 12" square traps similar to the one shown below. They have manually fold up sides like a star trap but they have "tops". Are they legal to use in CT waters? If not legal w/ a top, can I replace the tops with a wire frame and rely on the vertical movement through the water to keep crabs in I assume they would be legal?
