I hear you Jay. My daughter and I kayak a lot. Mystic River, Barn Island, Point Judith and the other salt ponds. Very busy areas. One of the first things I taught Jamie was how to identify the channels and to stay clear. When we do cross channels we cut across as perpendicular as we can and only when its clear. We see people on boards and kayaks just hanging in the channel and I just dont get it. banghead Even if they dont know the rules......there is a line of boats moving that are much bigger then they are....... there are places the big boats dont go.......self preservation if nothing else.
