10.May: Happy Mothers' Day. Not so much. My MIL passed away today. It was not unexpected, but still...

Reader's Digest version: 4 hours at the Wall today. Water was clear, with a decent current. A handful of meat-sticks anchored the far right of the Wall, and between 6-8 shadaholics worked the rest of the real estate. Shad were caught at intervals, and a few alewives. I had 3 hits, 1 short with a couple of headshakes and it was gone. 2 hit hard but didn't stick, after a short tussle they dropped the hook, or maybe they just grabbed the weight. I caught 4 alewives to keep the stinky kitty away. C'est la guerre...

Rod: 7' one-piece Ugly Stik GX2, med-heavy action
Reel: Penn 4400SS spooled with 15# hi-viz yellow Power Pro.

Terminal tackle: 1-1/2 oz drail over a 4'+ 12# flouro leader (switched to 8# flouro at one point), and a hammered silver leaf with chartreuse and pink w/glitter separated by a black line, and a red/white w/black dot after I lost the former.
