How can the DEP handle this? There are no limits on cast netting bunker, and if they just say its for personal use......
Would the DEP follow these guys to MA and watch them sell, assuming they are selling?
Maybe get them for no CT license, and the registration issues.

With all due respect the information you received it wrong or not being properly relayed from the tip line.... dannyb called last night, jayhova called tues and even gave reg numbers, and Frogger called.... Danny was told they were on another investigation and wouldn't be responding... by now they have taken an estimated 10000 bunker... and nothing is being done..... it might be time for. the fisherman to take matters in our own hands...

Captain, Does the tipline system undergo regular audits? For example...An officer randomly calls in a tip while acting as a sportsman-without revealing their ID. That tip is then followed through the system until it is passed of to an officer in the field as a completed circle.
I have seen a couple of occasions on this board where it has been said that multiple calls were made to the tipline and only one had been registered in the computer system. I have also seen that one post on this board can yield results. The more recent crab poacher post and the clowns fishing the resevoir are good examples of this. What this tells me is that when ENCON sees a post here and passes along that information it gets followed up on. It does not appear to be the same scenario with the tipline. Even though there is a more direct line of communication(verbally) made through the tipline the information appears to be getting lost in the shuffle. The tipline seems to have some inadequacies if all calls have actually been placed and everything stated is on the up and up.
