Can you get landowners for a corperation? Its my familys farm. I am a stock holder. I never thought to try. Im thinking next year. Thanks for any help. Will L.
It's all in how the agreement is drawn up, but typically in a corporation all assets are under the name of the company and ownership in the company is on an equity basis.
PM me some of the details, ie. What are you trying to accomplish, who owns the land, who runs the farm, how are sales handled (shipped to store or do they run a farmstand).
If I had to bet money on it , my bet would be that if it's incorporated and owned by shareholders , that nobody can draw a landowners permit . Otherwise , every shareholder and all of their lineal decendents would qualify .

Funny thing is out of all the share holders only one hunts. LOL Ok let me threw another curve ball at this. What if a piece of the property is leased by a club and a member of the corperation is a member?
I don't think clubs are afforded any special consideration other than being allowed to shoot stocked birds before the regular season opens . The way I see it (I'm no Lawyer) , a club member who is also a shareholder of the corporation that leases land to the club would have no more right to use of club land than any other member .
Who is charged with granting (signing) private land permits for the regular shotgun/rifle season ?
Are all the shareholders equal members , or do some hold more shares than others ?
Is there a "CEO" or some other sort of chain of command ?
