I am writing a paper for a class about Fishing and law, I was wondering what the source of the laws you cite is? I think I could use it in my paper. thanks Caleb Rose

Are you talking about regulations or laws ?

The legislature writes the laws (statutes) and administrative agencies like DEEP write regulations pursuant to the laws.

Also keep in mind that it is a mix of federal and state jurisdiction.

At the end of each statute there are usually case citations and information about when the laws are changed.

On top of statutes we also deal with regulations which are instituted under the color of law.
