If I put electric trolling motor on my kayak, is the safe boating certificate good or do I need a personal watercraft cert too.

I know I have to register it, that is no problem, just wondering if I have to take another class.

You technically sit in a kayak, not astride it like a PWC so your SBC is all you need.
