I heard from a fisheries biologist that inland fisheries are going to stock walleyes in a few new lakes eastern and western Ct. Since the Walleyes in Coventry,Gardner and Mashapaug to name a few, have'nt really taken off, their going to make attempts in new lakes. Lets hope more funds go into this awesome fishery if it is to succeed. What a shame to dump 25 million into feeding salmon smolts to draggers, and the all so many predators. It was futile.

They should start stocking the Ct river in our state with all the money we generate. Vermont and NewHampshire stocks the Ct and they have quite the Walleye fishery. I hope someday soon we see it.We have the prime wally habitat.

There is already a self sustaining population in the lower CT river, some big ones too. I would be suprised if they stocked it given the walleye's table fare status and the fact that the resident fish in this section are unfit for consumption.
