Dear DEEP,

I went by the area on 44 last Sat, OCT 13th, and the gate leading down into the area was closed and locked, is this gate going to be open during bird season?

If not, it's a long walk into where I normally bow hunt the rut.

I miss my Uncle Lewie....However;
I know he's with me on every fishing trip.

We've been keeping that gate closed as the area was discovered by adults that want to interact with each other in a clandestine manner. We've had complaints regarding people, some with children, coming across these people when walking in the area. Our officers have made a number of arrests for public indecency related to these activities and we're hoping that they will go elsewhere out of the public purview. If the problem goes away the gate will probably be reopened.

Aye My son and I were in that area a few years back and had the displeasure to wittness the above mentioned.

Is the stocking truck for birds driving down in to release them?
