Several times in the past weeks fishing the hogsback/farmington river area I've had my fishing license checked and if I did keep fish they were checking my creel limits also. Obviously I know I'm fishing MDC land, but is this a normal duty for a MDC Officer to be doing or are the Encon officers the only official enforcement when it comes to the fishing aspect?

Fishing laws and regulations can be enforced by EnCon officers, state police officers, local police officers and on MDC land/waters, MDC officers. Hogsback is MDC property as well with a good portion of the shoreline below the dam.
