Question for Encon. I am mailing in an application for a personal use gill net permit. My question is, I often fish two different boats. One is my boat, and the other is a friends.

I see the permit asks for regestration numbers of my vessel. Does that mean I can only net bunker from my boat and if I go out with a friend on her boat I can't use my net?

I'm not trying to play games and manipulate things, I just thought the permit would follow me as a person and not the vessel, so now I'm confused.

It is only when you see a mosquito landing on your testicles, that you realize that there is always a way to solve problems without using violence ...

Jay , last line of the regs. flyer they send you will stipulate License goes with the license holder. I looked into this because I fish out of many boats as well and wasn't giving Malloy a Franklin just to be able to use it in a skiff.

Thanks Paul. I feel a little better about it now.

That was my exact feeling. I was considering not getting the permit when it looked like it was going to be a vessel permit. I still don't like tossing away a Benny to net bunks, but knowing I can take the permit and net to a friend's boat makes it a little easier to do.
