The same guy from Ny that netted all the bunker out of Black Rock Harbor a couple years ago is back. Did they change the law so you can only keep 50 per person? He had a least 1000 in the boat and was still netting. Can he do that with a commercial license?

Yup, no limits in that fishery, the 50 only applies to rec. rod and reel and cast net.

Not anymore. I think he can smell them all the way from NY. Almost crashed into my boat because he saw me snag one. He is very bold.

Thanks for posting BK. Never takes them long to wipe 'em out.

All makes sense, no wonder there was no bunker to be found Friday night when I went, not even a single splash.

i am north of you but is it worth running his nets.the law needs to change it affects the whole fishery

But if I remember the story correctly, he did NOT have a commercial license!!!

which guy was this, was this the guy in the 20 foot Jones Brother boat with the broken spinning rig on the t-top? If so I don't think anyone ever confirmed it.

I put the word out to my officers in the Marine sector to check his activity and see if he has a commercial license or not.
