Can someone hunt in the state of connecticut with a muzzleloader that has a felony on there record? I know you can hunt with a bow.. But in some states like mass ri vt nh me you can hunt with a muzzy... Ny changed there law they cant.. Can you in ct? Thanks Will l

Will - he can't hunt with any gun - including a muzzleloader.

No guns with a felony at all. Bow hunting is fine unless your on probation or parole/Transitional Supervision. You can always apply for a pardon and pray it's gets approved.

Felony conviction = no firearms. Muzzleloaders fall under the definition of a firearm so all that's left is archery/crossbow.

Crossbows are not considered firearms under that statutory definition.

Are air rifles considered firearms in this respect? I know they are subject to the 500 ft. rule.
