What are the specific regulations on handling possessing sea turtles? Saw this on facebook.
Not sure if you saw it already.

Loc: CT. Got a problem with that?
Depends on what type of sea turtle. I'm pretty sure most are protected in CT.

These are the 4 types that are found in CT.

If you chase two rabbits, you will not catch either one.

Probably ate it...

.

"Politically correct" was initially coined by Leon Trotsky to refer favorably to those whose views remained in sync with the ever-shifting Bolshevik Party line. This was important, as "not PC" people risked prison or death.

Looks like the turtle still has a hook down its gullet. This kills me because i dedicated many hung-over sunday mornings caring for injured sea turtles when i lived in Florida.

I just found that post on FB and read through all the BS and good replies and picked these 2 out that apparently were posted by the angler who caught it and assuming he has integrity it had a happy ending:

His response to the hook coming out:

Quote:
Eric Colon Came out fine it ment a big deal to get it out

Quote:
Eric Colon Ok. Guys. I didn't want to catch the turtle. I let it go. There was no harm done to the little guy. It was majestic in my eyes. And again THERE WAS NO HARM DONE TO THE LITTLE GUY!!

We all catch things by mistake (including a striper in candlewood). Sounds like the turtle had to be handled to get the hook out. Might have pushed the endangered species act a bit by having a photo op and looks like he released it. Happy ending with the exception of a sore mouth for a week or so.
