With all the rain that we’ve had, the river has been blown out and unfishable. Thankfully the last couple weeks have been quiet and the flows have been closer to normal, although still high and slightly off colored.
I’ve made two trips to the river in the last week and did OK both times.
The first trip I hooked 2 big fish and lost them both on jumps, but managed to catch two smaller fish for my efforts. Isn’t that how it usually goes?
This morning I was up at 4 and in the water at sunrise, but with the clouds and drizzly, foggy conditions they weren’t biting for the first hour or so. Finally, I found some chewing fish and ended up catching six fun size smallies on a soft jerkbait.
It felt great to be back.
A decent fish from the trip.

Nice Jon. I miss fishing the CT.

If there are fish to catch. I'll be there to my end.
