Cajun, now that's what I'm talking about! Your emotion and common sense analysis of the situation comes through loud and clear! We need more people to get as fired up as you are! Now, the next step is to send an email or pick up the phone and express your views!

I emailed my rep last night ,I hav'nt gotten a response yet though. Its tuff ,I feel powerless to do anything about this.Thats why I get angry about it.The government is supposed to be for the people not only the rich people!

I will gladly pay the ammount I have spent on Beer and Alcohol while driving my boat...
There has never been a can of beer in my boat, at least not while it was in the water \:\) I think I did have one when I was ripping up the deck and strugling with the new steering cable.

Have a safe time on the water and may that tight line be pulling back.

Guys the one big thing that was said tonight by Representative Chapin was that he pretty much does not pay attention to emails he gets from the east side of the state. I thought that was an interesting comment to make in a public forum.

I got a nice thank-you from him when I sent my final proposal to him last Sunday so I presume he read mine.
I am pretty convinced now that the Bill will not pass but it will come back like the saltwater license did in a new form. My goal will be to somehow try to influence it so it takes on a state-wide approach so that buying one sticker gives you access to all public access lakes in the state.
I reviewed this issue at our Ball Pond Advisory Committee meeting tonight and it was unanimous, no stickers for Ball Pond, anyone can come and paddle around and fish any time they want. Hope to see you all out there this spring. Ball Pond folks love all of you.

Isn't that what the registration fee is for? Why do we need another tax?

One of the persons testifying for the CLA Monday conceded on an all lakes sticker. They stated they would support reciprocity of other authorities stickers and would expect the same for theirs.

Then again, this bill makes about just as much sense as the marine license bill where some people want the state to charge a fee for something the feds would provide for free until 2011.

To me the real issue is to get the CLA out of being an enforcement group. If more patrols are needed then go petition the DEP for more hours on the water. I do not support creating a militia for patroling the lake.
