"Politically correct" was initially coined by Leon Trotsky to refer favorably to those whose views remained in sync with the ever-shifting Bolshevik Party line. This was important, as "not PC" people risked prison or death.

The 'yotes around here are Canadian grey wolf/ coyote hybrids...probably with varying percentage of wolf genes. I had one in my yard last year that was friggin huge. Not to say there could not be wolves around, given confirmed presence in Western Mass.

I agree. "Outside" magazine had a great article called Canis Soup which discusses the current evolution of coyotes since man wiped out many of the original eastern coyotes.
i came up on a red fox tuesday morning at lynn demming park in new milford, sitting at the launch that i would have SWORE was a yote, but turned out to be the largest red for ive seen twice over. pushing 40-50 pounds... seems to have a den near the ramp so if i get to see him again this season ill post the pic here. i didnt get out of the truck thats how big it was, and i was worried about it being sick. fox usually scatter quickly.
fox would be loaded with fur this time of year. they are usually very small if you take the fur away. we had one sleeping on our welcome mat that had the mange. poor thing wasn't doing too good, he's probably dead now.
Here is a video of a "bigger" coyote that came into take the last of my deer scraps. This coyote also dragged the ribcage and attached back leg bones inch by inch out of the view of the camera.
