Whenever I visit a public hunting aread that is listed on the states website I notice it is posted with diamond shaped signs that are black and yellow and they say state land. This lets me know its ok to hunt there. However While driving around the state I have noticed several areas along the way that have the diamond shaped black and yellow state land sign but are not listed on the states website. Are these places ok to hunt as well? Is there simply just not a map for them up on the site? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I finally figured out why we get up so early in the morning to fish. It's not so much the sunrise bite that gets us out there; but the fact that once we have a wife and kids the only time we can actually get to the lake is at that ungodly hour!

No, they may be state park land versus state forest land. If the property is not listed in the hunting guide as being open, it's not open. There's a lot of state land out there besides what DEEP controls, such as DOT, DOC, etc. Even though it's state owned land it's not open to hunting and in most cases not even open to the public.
