While coming home in the deluge rainstorm Sunday from Patchaug Pond, we saw what looked like a cougar or big bobcat lying on the right side of the highway, obviously hit by an auto. We were heading south on I-395, about two exits before it meets I-95.

We called it in to 911, and they said they would check it out.
Any DEP people know what the result was?

Nobody ever notified us.

We did get a call for a dead mountain lion on the Merritt Parkway on Friday....officers responded and found a dead woodchuck.

Just out of curiosity, why would you call 911 to report roadkill?

Was it causing a hazardous condition on the road?

Because that was the only number I knew for the authorities. It was in the shoulder.

Your fishing license has two numbers to call at the bottom of it.

My wife and I saw what was probably the same animal on Sunday (395 south, on the right hand side of the road). Looked like a bloated coyote to me. Had brown fur and pointy ears

Loc: CT. Got a problem with that?
Free coyote.

If you chase two rabbits, you will not catch either one.
