http://www.ct.gov/deep/lib/deep/outdoor_recreation/atv/atvplan_final.pdf

The pdf file comes from this link:

http://www.ct.gov/deep/cwp/view.asp?a=2707&q=323844&deepNav_GID=1642

In the pdf file on page 4...the last sentence:

An ATV may be operated on the frozen surface of any public body of water as
referenced in C.G.S. ch. 255, §14-387.

I didn't look up C.G.S. ch. 255, 14-387...so there might be restrictions for certain bodies of water.

And I know you probably realize that...most other fellow anglers usually are pretty cool...but then I've been around some that just drive all over including through the tip up field and I about want to start drilling a moat around my tipups to keep them away lol.

I've never really had any run over....I get bugged because the fish have a pretty acute sense of whats on the ice...as in as you walk to your flag (I have beaver dams so you can see from a distance if they are running) the fish will suddenly make a big run. Often wonder what it sounds like to the fish when a guy bolts for his flag at such a high speed I have to look behind him to see if he's running for his life from something. Probably something along the lines of boom boom boom Boom Boom BooM BooM BOom BOom BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!! BOOM BOOM!!!! lol. I like a quiet setting wink2 Although ATVs are nice to get you out on the ice and take you back in I don't see a lot of use for them during the day except to put my stove on them to cook so I don't have to bend over wink2 Tight lines!!!
