This makes no sense. I have a permit to carry a handgun. Although I seldom carry it for protection, I have in the past. So legally I can carry it on the street for pretection, but the second I get in my car I have unload and lock it up? What the heck if I'm driving through one of the not so nice neighborhoods and some scum bag tries to car jack me?......aaaaaaaa wait a minute while unlock and load my side arm! Ok may be I can understand a long gun.
