Maybe an odd question, but I'd like to start out by saying, that I buy licenses for CT, MA and will be getting my NY fishing license before the end of the week. I try to do things by the book.

That being said, if I have a family member visiting from OUT OF STATE. (my father) can I take him to where we fish with my Son (his grandson) if he does not participate in any way? We'd just like to spend a little time outside with him. He has no interest in actively fishing, he just wants to spend some time with his grandson and I felt this would be a cool thing for the both of them.

I want to make sure I get something if necessary, and not run the risk of fine or more.
