Hard to believe this hasn't been addressed. SAD is a huge understatement. If this was next to someone's backyard who had political or
legal connections it would be addressed immediately.

The saddest part is that the DEEP has individuals within who are proactive and willing such as SGT. Williams , yet have been hamstrung by inept government policies . Skip was a hard act to follow , yet as time passes it appears he chose an officer worthy of the position . Can't say he didn't try...

.

"Politically correct" was initially coined by Leon Trotsky to refer favorably to those whose views remained in sync with the ever-shifting Bolshevik Party line. This was important, as "not PC" people risked prison or death.

This is actually pretty funny..... The finger pointing "it's not my job" is a shame! Sneak in there late at night and spray paint everything bright pink so when it is floating down the river someone can indentify the trash as coming from this clowns house. This state absolutely sucks on the simple things..... Just sucks! Call channel 8 news and let their pit bull news people visit some of these town/state agencies......

What he said...

News peeps show up, take pictures, take videos, hear about your efforts to clean up the river, tell them what you have done to try to resolve the situation....

It will blow up..

I suggest a little bad press. Call one of the Springfield news tip lines and mention Michigan lead position in the water and then mention people dumping toxins and dangerous items in beacon falls which run downriver through Northhampton, and agawan, and springfield. I bet a news org would jump at the chance to sensationalize this story in order to capitalize on the MI debacle.

Once its on the news, there will be plenty of people taking responsibility for enforcement and cleaning.

what the hell am i thinking of......

wait....no um...i mean water flows north..yaaaaaaa that's what I mean.

OK for the record, I did in fact think beacons falls was in MA up by Greenfield. I am sadly mistaken and apparently not too bright.

so just change Springfield and Northampton to all points south of Beacons falls.....

The Town Government in Beacon Falls is just not equipped to handle this. They are too small - too bad the SCEL was repealed - it would have helped in this case to have DEEP intervene.
