didn't realize it was that big- that's like the size of Winchester or so- I have never heard of a contour map of the lake - maybe ask the lake association or something? can always give the DEP a call- but I know it wasn't listed in the lake and pond maps book
Fishing is way too important to take so seriously...
Their in the lake alright. Myt two buddies each had one on but never landed them. A strange thing was happening. When periodicaly checking the bait we noticed several (6) tip ups with the bait gone and no flag. This has never happened before. As if a crab was down there nibbling the bait clean! Any ideas?

My regular fishing partner used to have a summer home on Woodridge. Unfortunately, he moved to Oregon before the tiger program was underway. It was a good bass fishery, but not nearly the 'blow me away' fishery I would have expected given the insignificant amount of serious fishing pressure it received.
I can't fiure out why the state puts pike in places like Winchester and Manchester instead of tiger musky. The tigers are sterile, so it allows full control over the population density, so if it doesn't work out, you can just stop planting htem and you're out of the deal after one generation.
Plus they tend to grow bigger/faster than northern, because they aren't 'wasting' any nutrition developing eggs.

Everybody's got to believe something — I believe I'll go fishing.
My dad had a little "derby" there with some of his friends and a guy that has a house on the lake. They caught 4 muskies,a ton of bass up to 5 lbs., perch and my dad lost 2 monsters.
CONGRATS ON THE MUSKIE! Can't wait to see the pic.

Congrats!!! Now that's something you don't see everyday. I was told that back in the early 90's that the state stocked the CT. river with Tiger Muskies. Has anyone else heard of this? John.
I should've been here yesterday? I was... And I didn't catch anything then either!!!
