Nice Fish! The link below is one from the Mass Wild Life website. It gives info on catching Tiger's and tells the story about the MA state and World record caught at Pontoosuc Lake in the Berkshires.

I think the DEP should do itself a favor and study this lake as the muskies grow larger. Time for some real concrete data lol....
I think tigers are probably some of the best stocked predators you could put into a lake. And hey, if they ever WERE to jeopardize the local fish population (which I don't think they would do as long as too many fish were not stocked), just wait a while because they can't reproduce.
In-fisherman had a great article on stocking tigers a little while back. I think the major reason its not favorable by DEP's is because they are expensive to obtain.
Nice going Todd What a beautiful fish.I'm willing to bet you break your new state record very soon. I think the Housy chain of lakes could handle Tiger Muskies without any problem. Maybe they could rid the lakes of a few jet skiers.
My name is Jim. You can call me slim. I row my boat way out to the middle.Cause the fish I'm after ain't so little. Pike, Trout, Largemouth Bass. Get me out there really fast. I know I'm good, really the best. The rest of you are such a pest. - By Henry Gibson Jim Boyne

Great fish - great thrill. Anybody ever hear of taking a tiger out of Otis Res is mass? They suppossedly stocked a few thousand years ago. The lake is loaded with smelt, White and yellow perch, crappie etc. they should have taken on, but I've never heard on one being caught.

Beautiful pictures. According to a Woodridge resident who was involved with the muskie stocking said the muskies really haven't grown as much as they thought they would but they have helped thin out the pan fish.(Which was their original intention) I don't know if the size of the lake or depth (10-12'max) has anything to do with it.
