according to my log it's usually first week of May as Mark stated. All this snow and ice might have something to say about that though.

Yes usually Salmon River TMA gets stocked the first week in March or a few days later. But field conditions and water levels impact on this. I took a ride to Salmon River yesterday and there still is over two feet of plowed snow along the road edges . The upper dirt road isn't plowed yet and there are only a couple of open parking spots at the Handicap Pools. There are no open paths to the water. It'll take a lot of melting before the DEP can negotiate banks to put in the fish. But its getting near !!!!

Any word on when the state plans on stocking the Mill River TMA?

If bluefish were to grow as big as giant bluefins, then there would be nothing left out there except for blues!

any word on the stocking? I would imagine after all this rain the rivers have plenty of water to start!

I heard yesterday that they started stocking in Eastern sections yesterday and will continue today and next week. Salmon River may be scheduled for mid to late next week.

Yeah, on some rivers they're going to have to stock in the woods.
