I believe the whole fishery is closed to new entries . It is open to those that have held a license in the past , specifically the years of the early 90s. For just a commercial license and boat reg fee as a commercial vessel the process is not economically viable unless you participate in additional fisheries like fish trap or pin hooking.

Commercial fishing is pretty much locked down at this point. You can check with Marine Fisheries in Old Lyme to see if they expect things to open up, but I haven't heard of any changes coming.

are you saying people are illegally poaching Bunker?
Did you call the Tip Line? How did you know they dont have the Permit? Did they not have their CT FISH Plate displayed?
