I enjoy opening day immensely and would hate to see it abolished altogether but after what I saw this past weekend maybe they should change a couple of things. First off I think they should give kids, and only kids, the opportunity to fish the Sunday before opening day. Put a two trout per kid limit and let them have it. Any lreagl sized trout caught should be kept which brings me to point two. This past weekend I watched grown men catch their two fish each, put them on the stringer, and continue to catch trout after trout. That should be illegal. At least half the fish they released floated down the Farmington, it was disgusting and they could not have cared less. Meanwhile there were at least a dozen kids watching them and were not catching a thing. They set a great example. To make things worse a "biologist" who was surveying people told them and everyone just keep catching them, as long as you release them you are not breaking the law. Other than that it was still great to get together with my Dad on the opener and catch a couple of fish. Alright I lied, I only caught one, but still had a great time.
